Get ready for an exciting and interactive school assembly performance! We believe in tailoring each performance uniquely to its audience, ensuring an unforgettable experience. Here's a sneak peek of what a typical assembly performance might look like:
Introduction:
  • We kick things off with a lively introduction, setting the stage for an engaging musical journey. But first, let's dive into some fun and interactive Q&A! What exactly is opera? When do we hear opera? And what kind of singers make up an opera? Together, we'll explore these questions and have an open dialogue, sparking curiosity and setting the stage for an immersive experience.
Group Activity:
  • Let's loosen up those vocal cords with some group vocal warmups! We'll discover that opera singers aren't all seriousness; they can be silly too! Get ready to laugh, experiment with different vocal exercises, and discover the joy of expressing ourselves through music.
Singing:
  • Now it's time to showcase the magic of opera! We'll take you on a musical adventure, singing beautiful arias and scenes from renowned operas. But before each piece, we'll have a quick chat, delving into the world of composers, discussing the plot, exploring emotions, deciphering the language, and uncovering what to listen for in the music. Get ready to be transported to different worlds and experience the power of storytelling through opera.
Coming to an End:
  • As our performance draws to a close, we'll make sure everyone leaves feeling like true performers! We'll teach you the art of the bow, showing you how to gracefully conclude a performance. It's the perfect way to wrap up our time together and leave you with a newfound appreciation for the magic of opera.
So get ready for a lively, interactive, and unforgettable school assembly performance, where you'll not only learn about opera but also actively participate, have fun, and walk away with a newfound love for this incredible art form. Let the adventure begin!

“Thank you for the wonderful assembly! All the teachers and students loved it! You are all great presenters! I learned a lot about opera that I didn’t know before. I hope other schools are lucky enough to book Opera-tune-ity for an assembly.” – Staff Teacher at Thomas Page Elementary
